One of my friends, after finding out I have the iPhone 5, asked if I had problems with the new maps app. She said she’d heard that the new phone’s maps app has issues. I haven’t had any issues, and have been using iOS 6 for awhile now.

I asked if she updated her iPhone to the new iOS 6 operating system. She had. I said the maps app on my iPhone 5 is the same one that’s now on her phone.

In fact, she used the maps app earlier today to get to an appointment and really enjoyed the turn-by-turn directions.

I wonder how many people associate the map issue with the iPhone 5 and not the iOS 6 operating system update.
